The Contrology® equipment series was developed in collaboration with the most experienced experts in classical Pilates, including Jay Grimes, Kathryn Ross-Nash, and Karen Frischmann. Contrology by Balanced Reformer JGRIMES

This faithful reproduction of Joe Pilates' original Reformer was developed through a collaboration between Balanced Body Jay Grimes to replicate all the subtle features essential to the classical Pilates approach and to create the best possible version of the original Reformers found in Pilates studios around 1970.

According to Jay Grimes, the JGRIMES Contrology Reformer offers “everything you need and nothing you don’t.”

The JGRIMEs comes without any modifications, just the way Jay Grimes likes it. (Jumpboard is also not available.)

For customizations such as color options or a padded footbar, we recommend models 1203940 (203 cm), 1203942 (218 cm), and 1203943 (226 cm).

Tower Pre-drilling Option (Available upon request)

If you plan to add a tower at a later date, you must order the Reformer with the "Tower Pre-drilling" option. The Reformer will be pre-drilled during production, and removable TwistLock shoulder supports will be added. This makes it easier to add the tower later and ensures that you can remove your shoulder supports when using the tower and mat conversion.
